Old channel?
I like you and your dog.
The Tradfri part is not relevant anymore, they are much-much better now
Review is overdue
in 2019, nothings comes close to ikea smart considering price/feature and recent apple homekit integration.
Monty 😍
Very helpful
You should be able to control trådfri with amazon
LIFX
Do I need the hub for the tradfri bulbs
The 'third bulb' issue you were having with the Tradfri is of your own making. It requires you to turn off/remove all Tradfri bulbs apart from the one you're pairing in the instructions to avoid interference.
Just btw, Å = O so it's pronounced "ikea trodfri". Literally wire free/less. Sorry, that just bugged me. P.S. I love your dog. He is so appropriately dressed.
TRADFRI Is best of these! Cheap bright and so multifunctional! Best Commonwealth with ioBroker, shelly, Homekit & Alexa!
What a little star your dog is. He listens intently to every word. Very smart he is as well.
Nice vid and great dog. What breed?
First time I am watching you, so to show support, eh, I subscribed, liked and now commenting. Total Canadianity! Thanks, eh!
What is this there’s no useful thing about this video nanoleaf is shit, where’s tp Link and Lifx there both been mentioned better than Phillips hue and I’ve there even heard of these budget brands and even if ur on a budget go with Wiz there amazing and ten times better then this nano leaf ikea shit
Tradfri also works with hue. In the UK the native hue apps let you use touchlink to pair tradfri devices to hue. In the US you’ll need a third party hue app
Is that a schnoodle?
Sorry to disagree with you about Philips Hue, mine do occasionally turn off by themselves when dimmed. Also I still can’t find a smart bulb that fits a medium socket or is small enough to fit in a small spot fixture. One final comment, the Hue bulbs are way overpriced for what you get.
Nice review. By the way what type of dog is Monty??
How does the dog just sit there ?
If you still have the Ikea lights, could you revisit them now that they are able to connect with Amazon echo and Google home?
I’m subbing for Monty!
You’re cool too
Good reviews… any reason why you didn't review the Sylvania Smart+ (no hub required)? – https://consumer.sylvania.com/our-products/smart/sylvania-smart-and-apple-homekit/index.jsp
Awwwwww. What a cute and attentive doggie!
You can now control IKEA Trådfri via Amazon Alexa by voice
/ From a Swede 😉
Just see dogs expression….awesome…lol…he is looking at person like ..what this person is talking about
You should check out Home Assistant, it's the best home automation, it's open source, and compatible with more devices than any other smart home system. https://www.home-assistant.io
I love how your dog is listening to you like yea you have a point yep
Very helpful 👍🏻thanks
So that’s why they are so expensive!
Love the dog! Awesome!
Ikea works with Apple's HomeKit
You should consider recreating this video now that things have changed with a lot of these bulbs. From what I understand, Ikea and Sylvania are now compatible with the Philips Hue bridge.
Trådfri works fine with HUE! And therefore voice also!
you need to put a updaye you now can control tradfri bulbs with alexia and apple home kit now
What about Xiaomi?
I don´t have problems with my ikea Tradfri and no anoying noise and i can control it with Amazon Alexa.
Well you just won me over to Sub …. Look forward to Future vid's ps there is a way to bring the Ikea over in to your hue bridge its a little tricky but it does work.
What smart lights would you use for your porch?
IKEA supposedly supports Apple Homekit now!
I disagree with your view on the ikea bulbs. I have several in my home, but I run them through my Samsung Smartthings system. It’s not native, and requires a little bit of work, but I had them up and running in about 10-20 minutes. And once they were set up, I was also able to use Alexa to control them, and have had no problems with it.
Maybe you should update this to take into account Ikea's newer bulbs especially the new RGB kit as according to another video the newer bulbs have a firmware update to allow it to be used with Philips Hue system
Your dog is super cute!! And thank you for the review. Helped out a lot with deciding where to start.
I bought only the Tradfri bulbs last weekend.. and hooked them up to Philips hue without the IKEA Hub. They are part of a ceiling fan ( 4 bulbs ) And I cannot group them.. but I have a problem grouping my hue lights as well.. just wanted to update you on that .. I can dim them verbally and turn them off verbally.. they are white so no color change is needed
