  1. Happy Saturday y'all! A word of warning! I am getting reports that the echo can't control the colour of the lidl lights (it can control warm white and cool white just not purple etc) I thought I had tested this but possibly not and I'm ill in bed now and can't test it. Apologies if this is the case!

This video is not sponsored by anyone, I just really like the Ajax stuff. Sadly it's UK only at the minute, but there's a link to a well rate US equivalent below too…

  2. I just bought the hub at lidl for £17.99 (!) and as the guy rang it through I swear he said "ooh the zigbee" under his breath! I'm near certain of it cause he looked a bit flustered and went bright red when I chuckled!

Although I probably should paid more attention to this video as I use alexa to voice control. So it can go in the cupboard until they fix this insanity. At that price it's not a big deal!

  3. Oh lidl, oh lidl are you so smart to connect directly to my spinning echo show 10?
Any one tested to connect lidl devices directly to echo zigbee hub?

  4. Thing I haven't seen is a breakdown of why Lidl is so much less. It's obviously a loss leader but how much? But also I suspect the curve in hue is better, lower start etc . I wonder what the life on the Lidl stuff is. But right tool for the job . No point throwing hue when you just want white and on.

  5. what did it destroy?
there are already light bulbs with the same price, and the lidl hub, is basicly a tuya hub
and this is not in the same lague as hue
    at least for me personally
i got into this 3 weeks ago, and started with a silvercrest hub, but this is catching dust now, since the tuya app is just horrible

  6. Well I bought my first smart device today the Lidl smart plug and can I hell connect it to my Amazon dot 4th generation, it just won't find it, do I still need an extra hub. My WiFi is via vergin media hub 3. Help I knew I shouldn't have tried FFS 😅😅

  7. @Paul Hibbert I have two of the Lidl lights and I cannot control the colours via Alexa hub so is there another way of doing so without having to buy a Lidl hub? I have an old Philips hub that I don't use any more….could I use that?

  8. I bought the gateway and a few smart lights and switches. It works well however I am not sure about if Lidl plans to expand their smart products. I also find it hard to find existing Lidl smart products to buy.
